Italian Alpini
Watkins
This is my First World War Italian Alpini impression. Originally I chose to do an Alpini kit because I liked the look of it and got the bug from Battlefield 1 and then Isonzo. Then I later found out that my wife’s great grandfather was also an Alpini in the First World War as well! (Her mother is from Sicilian/Italian ancestry).
Starting off with the headgear: I have both the Alpini Cappello (hat) with the fregio (cap badge insignia) and pene along with nappina (feather and pom pom).
I also have an M15 Adrian helmet with cover that I have painted the Alpini badge onto as you see in some war time examples.
The uniform itself is from Hikishop and is comprised of the breeches, tunic and cape. (Most Italian soldiers were issued capes instead of greatcoats, mental I know).
The webbing equipment were sourced from military surplus sellers as well as Paolo Salvadori who makes the reenactment kit for reenactors in Italy. I have the Italian gregio-verde (grey green) puttees and hobnailed and cleated mountain boots from Andrea Roccon from Italy. The rifle I use is a Carcano TS made by Andy Mac based on a standard airsoft VSR system.
British Infantryman
Collingwood
This is my First World War BEF impression.
It covers the full British perspective of the war from 1914 all the way into 1918.
I got into WW1 primarily after seeing 1917 on the big screen and the further WWI media like BF1 and War horse,
I was awe inspired by the look of the uniform's and the general aesthetic of the era.

I got started with WWI Airsoft after seeing the IBB dawning social media and decided i wanted to get involved.
Getting my first bit of British kit from History bunker: A set of 1907 Pattern Service Dress Tunic & Trousers, P08 (Webbing) and a steel Mk1 Brodie helmet,
At the time there was no official WW1 British airsoft replica's bar the Webley revolver, so i made do with a C96 Carbine till the S&T SMLE released.
The SMLE makes up the majority of my WW1 replica but I've also got a Mp-18 for a late war kit mostly for regular airsoft skirmishes.
Over the years I've continued to develop my kit and continue to making it up to living history level standards for all eras of WWI events.

German Officer
EWAn
On display here is my battle Set Up for my Braunschweigische Husaren-Regiment Nr. 17, Rank Lieutenant. Uniform,
When I first joined the 1BB, I rose through the ranks rather fast, I didn’t really have time to sit and think about an NCO kit.
So I decided, to join my brother and do a HR17 uniform (Hussaren Regiment 17). It also allows for very drippy 1914 variants with swords, rifles and all the trimmings while making a striking and unique late war set up once the regiment was merged into various Kavalarie Shützen regiments.
As seen here with my 1BB Battle Set Up:
It repicates the Braunschweigische Husaren-Regiment Nr. 17, with the Rank of Lieutenant.
The uniform is Attila, Officer’s cut. reithosen from Nestof and CreativeTradeImpexIndiaWebbing: 1909 Cavalry Belt, Roller Type, C96 Full Rig Holster with Stock.
My optional extras are ammunition Bandoliers when using rifle.
Armaments: Kar98az from Trench Airsoft C96 from KWC with downgrade kit. Shoot and Scoot 98/05 Bayonet. Grenade Bag and Grenades.
This works as officers from this regiment ended up all over the frontline with units that they did not start with. While warm, I find the breadth of weapons they carry to be very advantageous for Airsoft, while allowing me to urge my men forward at events.
German Infanterie
Here I have my Bavarian Leib Infanterie regiment impression.
I have stayed in Germany a number of times,
mostly around the Franken area so I initially did Bavarian Jägers (based in Aschaffenburg in Franken) but when I ventured south to Ingolstadt,
the home of the Bavarian Army museum i spotted a tunic i fell in love with and just had to have, so I moved to the Leib infanterie regiment.

For headgear I wear either an M15 pickelhaube with Alpenkorps Edelweiss, a Feldmütze, NCOs crusher cap or an M16 Stahlhelm,
all were used at Verdun though the crusher is rare at the front as it made you a target. The tunic is the highlight, though at first glance it appears to be a standard 1907/13 the cuffs have been simplified and the collar is privately tailored. The cuffs and collar have the Feild grey "ersatz" (replacement) NCO lace, as well as the Bavarian exclusive lace, introduced in 1916 for the simplified blouse though retroactively added to earlier tunics by NCOs and officers, and the Leib Regiment short litzen for post 1915.At the moment the trousers are Stonegrey though the bavarians used them very little so I also have fieldgrey mountain trousers with leather knee patches. Unlike most infantry regiments, being a part of the Alpenkorps the bavarians wore short boots and puttees (this was not due to leather shortages contrary to popular opinion)The boots are the austrian pattern mountain boots, very often privately purchased by members of the Alpenkorps The puttees were also privately purchased and the soldier reimbursed by the army Unlike the prussians, the bavarians weren't strict on blackening thier leather so I use brown with a buckle painted field grey
