Starter Kits for WW1 Airsoft

Are you looking to get involved with historical Great War airsoft? looking to put together your first Great War airsoft kit? Look no further! We have compiled a list of the bare basic essentials that will build you up to the starting level.

Remember, this is just the bare minimum we accept for our WW1 events. We absolutely encourage fully accurate kits, but want to ensure everyone, regardless of budget can participate and allow our events to act as a gateway for people to decide for themselves if Great War airsoft is for them before buying a fully accurate kit.

The Entente

The BEF:

• Headwear: Knitted hat/Trench cap

• Top: White, blue or grey collarless shirt/khaki coveralls

• Bottoms: Khaki chinos/cords/moleskins

• Shoes: Brown/black boots,

• Equipment: Cotton bandolier or satchel

• Unique wear: puttees

The French Army:

• Hat: Knitted hat, Blue side cap or Kepi

• Tops: White or blue collarless shirt

• Bottoms: Blue/brown/red chino or corduroy trousers

• Shoes: Black or brown boots,

• Equipment: Cotton/Leather bandolier and/or satchel

• Unique wear: Blue puttees/brown puttees

The Imperial Russian Army:

• Hat: Knitted hat or Cossack hat

• Tops: Grey/white collarless shirt/green button-down shirt

• Bottoms: Green chinos

• Shoes: Black or brown boots,

• Equipment: Cotton bandolier/satchel

• Unique wear: Green puttees

The US Army:

• Hat: Knitted hat or sidecap

• Tops: Green/khaki tan button-down shirt

• Bottoms: Green/khaki tan chinos

• Shoes: Black or brown boots,

• Equipment: Cotton bandolier, US WWII pistol belt

• Unique wear: Green puttees or gaiters

The Central Powers

The German Army:

• Hat: Knitted hat/Feldmutzen

• Top: Grey collarless shirt

• Bottoms: grey/brown trousers

• Shoes: Black/brown boots,

• Equipment: Grey satchel/leather WWI/WWII belt/cotton bandolier

• Unique wear: German grey puttees

The Ottoman Army:

• Hat: Knitted hat

• Top: khaki collarless shirt

• Bottoms: khaki/brown trousers

• Shoes: Black/brown boots,

• Equipment: satchel/leather WWI/WWII belt/cotton bandolier

• Unique wear: khaki puttees
